All new students begin with a complimentary trial lesson.
This first session provides an opportunity to meet the instructor, experience the studio environment, and establish expectations before moving into ongoing instruction.
The trial lesson serves as an introductory session designed to provide clarity and comfort for both students and families. Students are introduced to the studio, discussion centers on goals and experience, and the lesson offers a practical sense of how instruction works.
No. The studio welcomes students at a variety of stages, including beginning musicians exploring percussion or music study for the first time.
Instruction is offered to students across a broad range of ages and experience levels. Most students fall within late elementary through high school, with advanced study available for serious and competitive musicians.
Instruction may include drum set, keyboard percussion (marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel), orchestral percussion (snare drum, bass drum, timpani), auxiliary percussion, and foundational piano exploration. Study focus is shaped to the individual student.
Lessons are available in 30-, 45-, and 60-minute formats. Most new students begin with 30-minute sessions, with progression guided by readiness and instructional goals.
Lessons are primarily offered as private, one-on-one instruction. Selective small ensemble work may be introduced when appropriate to support listening and collaborative musicianship.
Material needs vary by instrument and experience level. Families receive guidance during the trial lesson. Beginning materials may include drumsticks or mallets and instruction books.
Yes. Ryan is available to consult on instruments, sticks, mallets, practice materials, and home practice setups to support effective study outside the studio.
Lessons are offered in person in Sultan, Washington. Studio location and access details are provided following scheduling.
Scheduling, payments, and student accounts are managed through the studio’s secure lesson management platform, My Music Staff. Policies and guidelines are presented during the booking process.
